Ellisport Engineering, Inc. is a Vashon Island, Washington-based, Civil/Structural Engineering consulting practice, serving Western Washington and areas beyond.  We currently hold active professional engineering licenses in Washington, California, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Utah, and is actively working on getting registered in Virginia, and North Carolina. Steve Kicinski, P.E., is a founding principal of Ellisport Engineering and has a broad background in both civil and structural engineering. He has over 30 years experience and is well known for practical solutions to engineering issues.  He has authored numerous papers in the US and abroad on topics such as: "Lateral Strength in Older Homes", "Landslide Mitigation - An Innovative Method for Debris Fence Design","Improving Seismic Performance of Homes", and "Economical Debris/Catchment Walls".  Additionally he has a Master of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing & Finance).

Eric Rice, PE
Eric Rice, P.E., is a project engineer for Ellisport Engineering, joining us in 1992. He has a broad background in structural design and analysis in light frame and light commercial construction in wood, steel, concrete and masonry. He is proficient at AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.  With a Materials Engineering degree from Brown University, and having worked in residential construction, Mr. Rice brings a unique perspective to his engineering skills. Contractors, homeowners, and architects appreciate his quick response and common sense approach to designing "buildable" structures.
